decisions decisions
Finally got some $$ (700-800 bucks) to blow on the stang and am not sure which direction to go. I could go performance, in many ways, or spend it on appearance.
Performance wise i was look at ONE of the following: 4.10 gears (plus install), some 15 inch jegs wheels paired with some E/T streets, Tokico D-specs, or i saw some GT500 Front brakes on ebay for a steal. OR appearance wise i really want the Steeda Cowl. Are hood pins really "required" with that hood? Id appreciate any comments that could help me make a decision!

If you decide to go with performance. 4.10's would be my vote. But it sounds like you want to get closer to your appearence end game first.
That hood doesn't require hood pin's, but they are a good idea. There is way less pressure under trapped that hood than on a stock hood at speed. So thats why I say they are not required. |

How often are you planning on going to the track? Take a look at Holeshot Wheels, they are out of Bunell Florida so they are "kind of" local to us. The wheels are lighter and cheaper than Bogarts. Supposedly they are more streetable, too. I'm going to be hitting them up here soon because I want to get a pair with some cheater slicks before I annihilate my tires.

4.10s. Easy.
They make the car faster everywhere, not just from the dig, actually its the 70 rolls with 4.10s where i really notice the car is slower with these 3.73s. It takes forever to wind out.....so slow. Its a mod you will enjoy all the time. |

There a great wheel and cheaper than bogarts, but are still a custom drag wheel. for what i need these are fine, require no caliper modification and are much more budget friendly JEGS 67077 - JEGS Sport Lite and Sport Star Cast Aluminum Wheels are you considering the holeshot frontrunners too? I think i will, just cuz u told me too ![]() i just wanna see what other ppl would do in my shoes, get an outside perspective ya know.

I say go with FRPP 4.10s... If that is what you want, me- i am going FRPP 3.73s.. anyhow I think you car looks fricken amazing, don't add to the looks, go for the mods that make you faster. I went with some minor looks b/c my dad is gay about me doing performance stuff.. I am finally going with the gears b/c i wanted them for a long time and well- once i get the last of the install money- it will be going in for surgery.. PS. What shop in FL are you going to? Lamotta? RSP?

gears. Definitely gears. Maybe the hood if you really want to work on looks first. Most after market hoods recommend hoodpins, due to hood shakes even with stock hoods. WMS has some stealth hood pins and Cervini has the twist down ones if you don't like the traditional look.
