First Run
Yesterday was my first time taking the GT to the track, actually, it was my first time on a track in general. Car is stock and on the stock Pirellis. Still figuring out how to get it off the line quick enough. Made four passes. Best run was:
R/T ... 1.271 (terrible, wasn't worried as much about this, more just trying to launch and get it down the track) 60' ... 2.429 330 ... 6.385 1/8 ... 9.597 MPH ... 76.76 The closest is track to me is Sumerduck which is only an eighth mile track. My last run I got off the line harder and got my 60' down to 2.223 and my 330 to 6.148, then I missed the 2-3 shift and that threw the whole run.

Ya, there wasn't a single run I would consider good. Still learning where I feel like I need to be launching from.

Just try to feel out where to launch from it seems to be pretty good around 3000-3500. Let some psi out of your tires too. And make sure you dont just dump the clutch and you can cut a 1.9 60'

What about disconnectingthe front sway bar just while at the track? Would that be something I could actually do to aid in weight transfer or would it be too big of an issue?

Not bad at all for first time and street tires; example: I know a guy, the first time at the track w/ SPR stage II's and street tires couldnt get into the 12's ![]() Seat time, suspension, and some DR's are your friend! |

Hahaha. That's pretty funny. The run was far from good, but it was better than I expected to see my very first time. It probably didn't help it was like 93 degrees out.

...ya, the car was balls to the wall alright ![]() and, that wasnt my first time at the track, 4th time...maybe 5th run in that car, first with the cams

Ya I'm hoping the rain holds out long enough for me to go to the track on Thursday. Gonna work on launching and cutting the 60' down and take the rest from there
