Worried

Ive had really 0 problems with my 2006 until late. I have an automatic transmission with a tune. The problem Im having didnt really surface until after I was playing around with a few tunes I got from brenspeed for my emissions testing here in Ny. Everytime the car either shifts out of, or into first ;I feel a small jerk and a clang or pop faintly. If i hammer it out of first i dont hear or feel anything but when i slowly let it down into first it makes that noise.

Now I havent done any trans liquid flush or anything, could it tough liquid in there doing this? Its also out of warranty being a 2006.

Please help.

Could be a lot of things. Inspect the U-Joints firstly.

I have rather limited knowledge of cars so this is why I bring this up to you.

Not sure if its the tranny or the rear end, where would I find the U joints, and what am I looking for?

somthing is rubbing against somthing...get under the car and check for wearing spots on your rims brake lines...and your steering shaft.

or is it coming from the steering wheel itself

Dang Dude...sounds like things are getting worse...the u-joints are on either end of the driveshaft...check if they are loose or twisted...the steering could be the power steering pump...check the fluid level!

I still have warranty left on my 06 until June...did you purchase it before April '06 or do you have over 36K Mi.?

it couldbe the brass contacts inside the steering wheel that make contact for all the controls on the wheel...sometimes when they get old they start making clicking noises while turning the wheel

I doubt its anything to do with the steering wheel its only when it shifts gears

Bought it in November 2006 and it has about 36500 on it.

I don't think you'll get a good diagnosis of your problems without someone looking at your car...you might have to bite the bullitt (no pun intended) and take it in to the dealer or a good shop in your area.

Good Luck!!!
