I'm thinking of buying one from Brenspeed for X-mas. It's been about 10 months now since it's release, what the news on the street about this TB?

I just bought one from Brenspeed and had them tune it. I am very impressed with it throttle response is finally there. Now this may be due to the fact that my CAI is not the best. I have the BBK cai and until I put this on it just was not what I thought it should be. No idle problems or anything the best the car has ever felt to me.

I agree, that is the biggest waste of money for a throttle body I've seen yet. It's 62mm bore, just the like all the other aftermarket ones, except is plated.

I bought a stock TB from a parted GT500 (62mm Bore) for $95.00 and it will do the same thing and save you $400.00+.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I have been looking at getting the Ford Racing TB for a while now and just not sure if it would be worth it for me. I love the way this thing looks but $500 for looks alone to me is a waste. Would this TB be beneficial for me with my current mods? Or would it be a waste of money at this point?

If you are planning on mods to support it then go for it. But if you want to save the cash, the rule for stock TB is that if your not putting 500+ horsepower to the ground then your money is better spent else where. So, if you plan on forced induction, sure go for it.

I'm still un-decided on the FRPP or the GT500. I would love to see a back to back dyno of the two on a centri car

+1...just buy a TVS blower as it comes with a gT500 TB and GT500 intake.

I have had my FRPP TB on for about 6 weeks now and I can't tell you if it helped the performance or not. I had Hot Rod cams, udp and 4.10's with the TB installed. I got 305 hp SAE with the BlowByRacing tune. The dyno guy said the A/F was perfect. It looks cool , but I don't think it looks $500.00 cool!!

So does that bolt on directly, or does it require machining.

I have asked about this throttle body before. The basic opinion was that there is not much of a gain unless you are pumping some serious boost as the factory flows pretty good. But if you are going to get a TB, dont go with the FRPP one.

I don't mention it much because I like the GT more. As a matter of fact, it has been in the shop under a cover for almost year. There's not much you can do to personalize the GT500. So it just sits with only 900 miles on it.

I thought about putting the GT500 TB on my GT and doing a before and after dyno pull. I wish someone had real dyno numbers for the FRPP TB on a N/A 4.6. I might buy one and dyno it because the curiosity is killing me. I have a Procharger and a Aluminator under the bench for the GT anyway. We all know the TB will add HP then.
