Gearing
Hey, Ive got 4.10s in my 05 5 spd with aftermarket Cobra Chromes, and 275 nitto 450s in the rear, I also have about 350-360 flywheel hp...(havent hit the dyno yet). First gear spins like a b**ch, but hooks up right before the shift to 2nd. If I am hammering it, 1st and 2nd barely hook up, but enough that on a stock gt, i am 1 length ahead (while spinning).
Like Fastback said, going Highway speeds, dropping to 3rd, im gone...and love it ![]() I have stock suspension by the way. I plan on fixing this with a CHE rear brace, upper and lower adjustables, and tokico shocks...Im also putting some 315s or 325s out back....but idk if its my mods, or gears, but the lil comp says i get 33.5 mpg at 60 mph on the highway, and 29-30 at 68-70...and the mileage kinda shows it...hope this helps ya some... |

4:10 is not for gas mileage, but it sure is fun.
My 4:10 rear has lowered my mileage to about 16 mpg, but mainly because it is so hard to stay out of the thing. And at 90 to 100 mph, it really makes that sweet V8 hum.
