Saleen S/C failures??

Last night after merging into traffic on the freeway, I get into a lane then accelerate and I hear this strange noise. I stop the next available place and lift the hood. At first I thought I had lost a vacuum line but now I think something may be wrong with the actual screws. Its not a metal on metal noise like if the bearings were fried it almost sounds as if the coating came off the rotors. Def not the coupler cause its not making the jar of marbles noise. Car has 825 miles on it and Im sure the dealer is going to tell me to beat feet even though I bought 2 brand new cars there in the last 60 days. SO, Im wondering if anyone else has had any failures and what the problem was. ALso where would be a good place for me to send it for repair, just the s/c that is, and are there any enhancements to be made to it while its off the car.

Thanks
Jeff

umm maybe just too high of a gear? with a tad of paranoia? go to a dealer to check just in case and if the check engine light or anything like it is not on, its probably just too high of a gear or nothing.

Why will the dealer tell you to pound sand? Isn't that car under warranty, it's brand new?

If you bought it brand new with the supercharger, it is still under warrenty.
Bring it in and let them figure out what's wrong.

As the others said, dealer is obligated to do your repair in warranty. The saleens are backed well. Take it in.

Unless maybe it was bought prior to that shocking annuoncement from the Saleen buyout. "No warranties before xxx honored". Ford doesn't back Saleen warranties, never did. Saleen did that.

Time to test SMS and Steve's promise to honor warranties ... Ford maybe set-up with them to do that now ... definitely worth trying out.

Technicality, any ford service/dealer will get a saleen warranty done with the consumer oblivious to the fact that it required a secondary engagement..
