Yeah I'm going to pull the rims off tonight so I can get a look at the rotors and the cooling vanes. The guy I talked to at EBC said that the direction of the cooling vanes may or may not make a difference. He didn't know if they were vertical or slanted 'cause I don't have the original part #'s. he said that if they are vertical it won't make a difference and if they are slanted it may or may not make a difference, he didn't know, and has never actually come across a situation like mine. Oh shit, I can't pull my car in the garage tonight 'cause I have my little paint booth set up in there and my driveway has a steep slope. It might have to wait a day or so. But in thinking back I have never had a braking issue except for a little "air noise."

Looked at my rotors last night, the all have straight vanes...shew
I have my slots so that they spin outward, thus expelling debris and gas away from the rotor. I did notice that most brembo and baer are the opposite. Do they do this to 'shave' the pad? My thought was the slots are there to vent gas/debris, so why does it matter which way?
