yeah, why be such a cheap ass and not sponsor a site, or pay to be a business member. otherwise, you have to play the way the average joes plays. and just because a few people know you, does not make you some god to the world. so acting like an ass proves nothing. having a god complex doesn't fly well with most people. you cannot just walk onto any site and think everyone will bow to you.

Anyway, either way, I agree, the rules are in place to protect members.

I'm sure he wasn't trying to sell $50k in parts at once. He said he has sold that not selling it at once. He has had the parts on his car and sold plenty different setups including a Kenne bell kit, a 3.4l whipple kit for 3v, a vortech kit, and a turbo kit all since 2005

I gotcha. I thought he was reselling parts. It happens often actually. No business, no website, no nothing, just a connection with a distributor/maker and boom, low prices pm deals and everyone else is a rip off.

But now i see, different situation.

Still dont see the problem with giving out your info. Ebay would verify who you are and offer that protection to the buyer. But they charge a fee. MM is just looking out for its members. No need to slam a mod like that. Call up MM and complain about the rule.

I just read your post's in your profile... It's not like we're learning anything from you...SERIOUSLY! His 147 posts contained more tech than any of your 1,500 did. lol Whatever... I do know that everyone HAS to follow the rules, they are there to protect us and he stated he did everything in the sticky about selling stuff, dunno? I'm not debating whether we should follow the rules, but It sounds like he was being asked to do more than what is outlined in the sticky.

I would assume with someone selling a 40,000 item...there might be some extenuating circumstances though. Granted, I highly doubt anyone would transfer any money without having first seen the car, possibly driven it, and meet the guy selling it.

You should have seen the kenne bell, Vortech, turbo, and whipple builds he did. He pushed everyone to the max... Kind of like someone else I know that is going the N/A route. Once he felt like he had gone as fast as he could with one particular setup, he upgraded to something faster. Was even running nitrous on top of the Whipple to get everything he could out of it. That's where the 50,000 in parts came from. He ain't poor lol.

LOL. You learn a lot doing that. To bad it panned out the way it did.

I think he is the one with the reverse JPC intake now?

Maybe it will all get straightened out.

because this is the title of his for sale threads that didn't get approved.

05 Sonic Blue Roush Stage 1 S197 signed by Jack Roush himself

as for him following the rules of the classifieds, i have highlighted every rule that he DID NOT follow below:

III. For Sale and For Trade Posts (FS/FT: ) - All items for sale must include a price. If a price is not present the thread will be deleted, no questions asked.

A. For Sale/Trade Post format - All items for sale will use the following format:
What is your name(first & last)? :
What is your Email Address OR Contact PH #? :
What is your City? :
What is your Province? :
What is your Postal code? :

B. For Sale post pictures - All items for sale require a picture. This is for the buyers safety, include your screen name and the date the picture was taken IN THE PICTURE ON A PIECE OF PAPER.

C. Paypal - Do not request any additional fee for Paypal, 3% or otherwise when posting items for sale. If you feel the need to cover your loss on a Paypal fee then you as the poster should adjust your asking price to accommodate the fee. (This rule applied to any other similar payment options)

i guess doing 1/3 constitutes getting the thread approved.

You read all 1500? Impressive.

Yeah, I post a lot in the BS sections, because this is the only site that I can get to at work when nothings going on. I can't contribute much to the 05+ because I have had this less than a year, and haven't had a chance to do anything yet. I read a lot in the 05, and post on stuff I have experience with, rather than adding a +1 and to every post. Sue me.

CK offered plenty of tech advice to start with actually, he was the guy with the amazingly bad ass 05 roush that ran 9s and was being rebuilt with a twin turbo! Can't tell me that guy wouldn't have some great tech? He likely frequents several sites, he'd only posted on here a handfull of times to keep us updated on his build and progress. Sure, he left a bit like a jackass, but he never really got a chance to get accustomed to the site and as such had no loyalty/affinity for it. I'd be tempted to react similarly on a new site that was "frustrating" me because of it's rules, even though it was my fault for not understanding those rules.

I'm sorry. But I agree with CK on this. I wouldn't post my address or phone number just openly on the interwebs either. If a buyer is serious you can PM him/her that. You shouldn't have to post it in a thread almost anyone can read. Thats how you get junk mail and telemarketers calling you and filling your email and mailbox.... Or even worse. Identity theft.

I think the personal info is for the mods only maybe? but it's no different than something like craigslist or ebay, they require that info too, at least here you have the option of putting some of that stuff, you don't have to have your address, but you need an email.
