Question on GT500 fuel pump
Does the gt500 fuel pump system use the same fuel pumps as the mustang gt or are the different pumps? What about the "ford GT" fuel pumps? just trying to clarify some things.

No, the GT500 uses two different pumps. Plus another FPDM and wiring. What about Ford GT fuel pumps? They come on the Ford GT and flow well.

They are different.
Mustang GT uses single pump, GT500 uses twin pumps, and Ford GT40 uses a different pump entirely, I believe it uses three of them but I am not sure. Soem guys in the 99-04 stangs have installed them...they usually switch to a Cobra fuel tank. It requires some soldering and fabrication, and after they do it they usually don't run less than 1/4 tank ever. See this: GT Supercar Fuel Pump into a 2003 Mustang - FordMuscle.com Forums Now it appears some places have developed a "kit" that can drop into our cars. Scroll down to the bottom on this page: RPM Outlet.com - 1996 to 2004 FORD MUSTANG GT Fuel Injectors If it were me, I would call and talk to them, because that is definitely cheaper than the GT500 setup.

They are all different fuel pumps. The highest flowing being the Ford GT Fuel Pump. The GT500 Fuel Pumps from what I have read though flow almost just as good as the Ford GT Fuel Pumps.
The GT500 Fuel Kit from Ford Racing is a great kit and can support good power(600rwhp+). Throw on a Kenne Bell Dual BAP Kit and support even more. |

im almost 100% possitive now what I posted above is correct.
Mustang GT- (1) 255lph pump GT500- (2) 255lph pumps Ford GT- (2) walbro 310lph pumps Im surprised Ive heard a lot of people getting this wrong like the idea they are all different or the ford gt has 3 pumps. I know fore precision sells a triple hat pump system. Reason I posted this to begin with was Im thinking about upgrading to two pumps. Probably with the FP triple hat and 2 gt pumps so I have the ability to upgrade to 3. I kno Ill need the MDM which is a shit load of money for that thing but time will come. If you know what you are buying you can save a lot of money imo
