Fuel Pump Bad,i Think....


Okay 2 times this last week i drove my car home from work and i went to leave about 10mins later and it would not start just turn over..i trunned the key over and did not hear the fuel pump so i pushed the reset but and it fired right up...what would cause this??? i dont drive the car everyday

Try pulling the fuel pump relay from out under the hood in the fuse panel. Not the fuel pump fuse, the relay - it's marked accordingly.

Sometimes the pcm doesn't recognize the pump after a tune swap and it goes into a loop. I have found that a relay pull for 20-30 seconds and then reinstall brings everything back to normal recognition.

See of it cures your need to press the reset button in order to start.

yeah that might be it because i just put the racer tune when it started doing that
