How important is it that the nuts are torqued precisley!?

How important is it that the nuts are torqued precisley!?


im puttin on my intake and spacer and i dont have a torque wrecch so should i just stop untill i get a torque wrench or is it not that important and i can just estimate...

DO NOT ESTIMATE!!! Torque specs are real - invest in the wrench - save your engine....

i understand wut it is but does it really have to cost that much to tell you when you should stop tighteing!!!!
Cuz thats really all is doing right, stoping you from overtighenting something isnt it?
Or am i wrong...

in a nut shell yes... too loose it will not seal... too tight it can cuase damage... also you have to keep in mind heat effects on metal and viberations..... you can crank down harder than needed and really mess things up...

its a one time buy tool as long as you take care of it... its not a double use tool.... cant use it as a pry bar or hammer.... and yes every so often you have to get it caliberated....

try places like napa or other common auto part stores... you might be able to rent one....
