Styling Body Kit

While my 2006 vert gt is in the shop getting some upgrades, I'm thinking about getting a body kit. I want one that looks like it belongs to the car. I don't want a kit that says "fast and the furious" I'm too old for that. The one I'm thinking about is the 3D Carbon one (minus the duck tail, I like the stock rear spoiler). Does anyone out there have this kit?

if you want one that looks like it belongs on the car, yet not too flashy, i'd go with the street scene body kit

Wally, you're never too old. I qualify for the senior menu at Perkins and there isn't a kit out there that I'd be ashamed of, except maybe the ricer lookin steeda wing .The rest of the Steeda kit looks great just that damn wing that is 2 ft high

Thanks for the input. I do like the street scene kit. Damn it I just can't decide. Also I wanted to get a different hood. At first I was looking at the steeda 2" cowl hood but all the cars that I have seen with that hood has some kind of a stripe. I just think it would look good with a solid color (black). I do like the saleen hood though.

I like the Cervini's kits myself. Especially the M1, hope to have it on my car pretty soon.

If you are trying to not go flashy I would have to say Street Scene or 3D Carbon minus the fender flares.

The C300 kit from Cervinis dose look pretty good on a vert if you just do the front sides and rear. There is a white one around me that is set up like that. Looks great but aggressive.

You could also do the RK Sport kit if you are trying to be kinda in the middle. Few people seem to do this kit, which is kinda disapointing since it is very nice quality and great looking.

The only kit I have never been impressed with is the Hot Wheels kit, just too gaudy in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I just put a deposit on the street scene kit today. I have decided on the street scene gt rear fascia and side skirts with the street scene Gen 2 front fascia. Hopefully this will look alright.

The M1 kit looks allot like a '70 Mach 1. They show it in grabber blue w/black stripes. It's basically a new hood, hood scoop, fender extensions, front spoiler, rear louvers, ducktail spoiler and rear spoiler. But you can buy it in seperate pieces also.

Peronally, I like to choose components form certain body kits and bring it all together. I like the CDC duck tail, the Cervini rear pedastal spoiler, the foose aluminum hood and CDC shaker, the CDC chin spoiler and the Ford GT/CS side scoops. If I had a top, I would add the Silverhorse side window replacement and an aluminum vent shade for the bck window.

They sell the same "style" kits, but many of them they do not get direct from the original manufacturer but some they do. Its the third party knock offs that they sell that have a shitty quality.
