Team Edelbrock cars goes on it's First outing.....

We took the silver car which has been transformed after thrashing for a week to install the New Motor, Transmission, Rear End and Supercharger to Michigan for the NMRA race in Milan. The New Motor is a JDM 298 Stroker with Ported heads and Comp cams. The Transmission is a Stock 5r55S Custom built from Circle D transmissions in Houston, and the Rear end was done here in house and outfitted with 4.30 gears, Moser axles and studs and some welding of the axle tubes.

Friday Morning we made our first test hit and the A/F was a bit off. We needed some dyno time to figure it out. We used the Mobil Dynojet of Ken B. from Modular Depot to do some more tuning late into the night on friday. Jim Sr. of JDM handled the tuning of the new Combo, and late into the night we pulled it off the dyno with a very safe and conservative tune of 566/591 with an A/F of 10.8 and 12* of timing. There is ALOT Left in it.

Saturday Morning was our first chance to run it down the track again and it launched wheels up with a 1.39 60' and ran 10.26 @ 132.75 MPH.
We were happy so far, but Jim Sr. made a few adjustment and we ran the car all day long going some rounds in Super Stang till the Semi Finals. We dialed a 10.18 and ran a Blistering 10.152 @ 136.38 MPH.

This was the first outing with the new Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger for us and it showed it to be very consistant in competition. We are Going back out to our Local Track Friday Night to get some more test runs in, but the car is in need of some suspension work as the body is twisting very good on Launches.

Get the die grinder after that antennae! I bet there's .001 in it with that thing waving in the air. LOL

Yea, She gets a little twisted if it I hit the gas too hard on the launch.

We actually got a small antenna from UPR on friday but never got around to putting it on, it will go on before Friday Night's outing though.

I am just very impressed with the way this new E-Force S/C unit works. It takes me a 1/4 of the time to cool the car off, and the intake air temps are alot lower than with the old setup. We are adding a new inner cooler bucket to the car and moving the battery to the trunk for more cooling capicity and make it easier for me to add ice to get some even cooler temps in the Houston heat.

Come on by, we are working on a new setup for this weekend and got some things going on with Lloyd's car to get him back out running even better than before.

These New Edelbrock Blowers are something else man. It runs so much cooler and we still have some more Power to throw at it.

Yes Sir we are. Putting the car on a diet today and see if we can get it to stop twisting so much.

Friday Night will be more for Testing than looking for a number. We want it to run consistant and go Straight, but we might take a shot at a Number if the weather is there.

What all does that dark blue 2010 mustang have done to it? All the GM shops around here are trying to get the new camaros to run some numbers but I think they are still in the mid 11's. The 2010 mustang came out the same time and there is already one in the 10.80s. SCHWEEET!!!
