Shouldn't make a difference as long as it's screwed or pressed in all the way. It might even make it easier to get the grease gun on it.

Well here is the thing.
That other side of the arm connects to the durometer bushing you have and goes in the stock bushing housing. you will have to bang that bushing back into the top of the center section of the axle, which is why i said when you do take that out, make sure you measure and mark how far it was banged in. Its not like it fits perfect. Ill show you a picture. so technically, straight is the two mounting points lined up. Whether the round center part of the tubular arm is centered from point a to point b is not so much the issue as to whether you have point a and point b line up. Make sense? But i have emailed your photo to BMR. |

Sorry, I don't know if that is normal. I have the adj. BMR one and I don't know if it was centered or not. I do have to get underneath my car today to see where the gear oil is dripping from so I'll take a look. My initial thought though is that it should be centered.

Let me go take a picture and show you what i mean. Its going to be your job to center everything is my point. the tubular bar section of the arm being off has really no bearing on where the axle ends up centered. Not to say that if its not suppose to be like that it shouldn't be replaced. just point of fact. |

So you see the busing in the top, You're going to have to get the rubber bushing out of there (have fun with that). Put the poly bushing in that metal sleeve.
So one end on your control arm is in the mount and the other end is bolted to this bushing......What affect really does whether the tubular part is center from point a to point b have? 3/16th The panhard bar centers the axle. The panhard bar centers the axle and the axle has to be able to travel from left to right. Its going to as the suspensoin travels. Hence, the play. But yes the control arm should be straight from the factory. Its a defect.. Posted edited and updated for current up to the minute info. Relax, drink some rum and rest assured in the fact that you have a ford with a solid rear axle. It aint pretty or perfect on its best day. It just works. ![]() ![]()

I think if the piece is off and it's not supposed to be, have BMR send you a new one.
