x pipe or h pipe. whats the differance in sound and power

I was doing some research and im just trying to figure what works better. Why you would use an x over an h or h over x pipe.
Is sound diff?

IMO x pipe has more of a NASCAR sound. h pipe has more of a classic deeper muscle car sound. x pipe will get slightly better hp, but not really notable when driving. so the sound is what really makes the difference when making the choice. which one sounds better? idk, depends on the rest of the exhaust.

i have a magnaflow o/r x-pipe with a borla catback (04 gt), my friend has a both magnaflow o/r x and magnaflow catback and mine is louder and deeper, i like it much more. It really depends on your full setup, although i do believe the x-pipes give a bit more hp, but not a huge difference.

the 05-09' are a bit different, but i've always been a fan of borla, so i may be biased

h is much better sound wise imo. i like the true deep sound of an american muscle car. they say x gives u more hp but i dont think its that big of a gain. plus an h is 34.99 at summit while the x is 79.99

prochamber is just like what it sounds... its a big chamber where the exhaust gasses cross over. IMO the prochamber sounds better than any X or H, but i'm a lil biased

Yes it does.

You can get one for use with factory cats, or one that is catless.

Prochamber is a subwoofer for your exhaust. It's not the sound so much as it is the feel. A deep rumble that disturbs old ladies at red lights and makes the old guys they are driving around grin like a horny 16 year old.

I'd suggest the Prochamber.

Or you could try this one :

seriously, prochambers are awesome. its not too in your face loud, but with the right cams its just a deep rumble that you can feel in your chest. i set another mustang's car alarm off the other day. its that badass.

With the right axlebacks/mufflers Prochamber, H-pipe and X-pipe will sound good. I ran both a prochamber w/hi-flows and now a catted x. Both sound good. The prochamber has a slightly deeper more refined tone while the x has a slightly raspier more aggressive tone.

Pro-chamber > H pipe > X Pipe

Pro-chamber can be pricey though. I don't like the X much at all because it gets a little raspy at higher RPM's.
