Door scratch/blemish

So i know this might get moved to another section but Nobody ever looks in the others that often. When i bought my car, just under the window there is a section of paint (about the size of a quarter) that looks like it was effed up and someone put correction paint over it. Well you can't really see it from a distance but when i get in every day i notice it... Anyone had any experience with paint shops *and f*ck Maaco cuz they suck ass* such as Ford body shops or something good to say how much it would cost to get my door repainted?

You might not even need to get the whole door painted. A lot of good shops can just sand down the touch up paint and feather in a patch. I would take it to a good shop and see if they can just fix the scratch.

It's worth a try

Yeah, i figured that but alot of places will say its better to just repaint the whole panel when its metallic paint.but i can see feathering it in.

feathering it in works if you go to a good shop

Factory paint is always best, so feathering it in will keep more of the factory paint on the car. Check the phone book some places can do really good at fixing a small place in the paint. Also fix small dents if you get one, the golf ball to baseball sized ones, sometimes without painting it.

ya no need to paint the whole door, but depending on where it's at on the door, they may have to paint a little of the quarter panel; they did with mine.

the inner lip of my door was crimped in, so afer they re-shaped it, they scuffed up about a foot to the left, then about two feet to the right, then blended it all the way back to the 1/4 panel.....it's possible, but it might cost ya a little bit....

well it didnt really have anything to do with it being misshapen cuz after they fixed it, the painting was as if there was a 3"x3" area that needed to be painted/blended. if they blend it right, it will look brand new. im juss sayin...
