A/C not working.

So the A/C hasint worked since i dropped in the stroker...just took it into ford today to get it looked at.

Service manager called and said the PCM wont let it turn on. I said DO NOT hook up your programming tool to my car, seeing how i have my nitrous dyno tune in there....so , has anyones tuner shut off their a/c while writing a tune?

Also...i asked them to do a bottle test on my coolant system to see if a had a leaking head gasket....they said my car is to NEW to perform the test. They dont have the right connection to do it.

WTF...so i have to pay for all the diagnosis and I got nothing acopmlished.

Can you really turn off your a/c in the tune?

You changed your SN? WTF I just got used to 07 procharger. As for your questions I guess it could be possible to disable the AC but I doubt it happened. Ford Service guys usually suck. At least in my expiriences.

Ford used some crazy threads on the heads. My friend was going to do a comp test on my engine but both kits he had didnt have the right threads in there.

Sounds like it could have got disabled or there is an error in the system and it wont let it turn on.

Come on Stroker Boy. That's like my wife telling me the coffee machine is broke before checking if it was plugged in or not.

LOL, glad you got it working as we get into the summer months.

hmmmm..........kinda wierd. I'm wondering why they can't do a headgasket check on your car??? Are you wanting them to pressurize the cooling system and check for leaks?? Maybe a vacuum test?? Or are you talking about the actual combustion gas check? Where the fluid changes colors in the tester if the coolant has combustion gas in it?

wow. All it is is a normal cooling system pressure tester. Every dealer has one. Hell you can get them from Snap On or Matco, or Ford. Hell even craftsman/sears has them. The only thing "special" about them is the degas bottle adapter, which almost EVERY SINGLE Ford vehicle uses the same degas bottle cap..............We have been using them for a LONG time too, before 2000. Is your dealer living in the past?!? lol because they seriously wouldn't stay in business without that tool, you have to use it ALOT. Ken, you must have a special coolant bottle.

like he said... My Matco cooling system pressure tester has ana dapter for this bottle. And it is the same as every other Ford. Never heard of a "bottle test" though?? Pressure test may not be the best way to find a headgasket though. A combustion leak tester (the thing with the blue water that turns yellow) doesn't need any adapters, so I don't think that is what they meant either.

A/C works now?

To the people that were wondering, yes A/C can be disabled in the tune if they set the paramater for WOT cutoff wrong.

What's your mileage been at since you put the new motor in? I doubt over 25.
