new CAI and my first ticket

well, went out for a test drive around 3am today. idk what it is (i guess the tune) but my car sounds so much fuckin better. and there is a noticable power increase.

so i'm drivin it, not really haulin ass, but just trying to get a feel for the extra hp and tq, and i get pulled over. he clocked me at 54 in a 30.

$138 ticket but it could've been worse. some nerve... givin a ticket to a returning vet on independance day... jk.

Haha, getting tickets sucks! Got my first one in approx 10yrs, 2 mo. ago. $255 smackaroonies. Originally clocked me @ 45 over. Just cruisin to the music. It was kinda cool though, Mosquitos were all over the place so I gave him some bug spray, he made my ticket almost invisible, no demerits and didn't even go on my record. Just a monetary loss. Not bad.

Invest in a radar bro. Totally worth it! I went to the FL Keys with my wife this spring and made it there from Kissimmee in about 4 hours. I caught about 30 cops on my way. It was during the night so the road was all mine.

Hey first welcome back Vet and thanks for serving the country. Second....sorry that you got nailed....especially TODAY of all days. He really should have just given you a warning, returning home and all. Are you back for good?

thanks. i'm in uniform on my license and i mentioned something about being from fort campbell, but i guess he didn't get my hints. i didn't push it any further because i personally hate fellow soldiers that have that sense of entitlement. and yes, i'm back for good (at least a year and a half).

I haven't gotten a ticket but I should have. The cop clocked me at 120 in a 65...that was crazy, the first time i ever get pulled over was me on the interstate, droppin it into 3rd to whiz by a semi, and when i get in front of it, i realize there was a sheriffs patrol car on the other side. haha sure enough here came the cherries and blueberries and he was NOT happy when he got to my window. lols it was funny. I guess he let me off cuz i was a girl
