My First Exhuast Vid

I posted this video up on a dying H-pipe thread so I figured if I wanted some feedback on my exhuast tone I should start a new thread. It is my first ever uploaded video with my new recorder, I haven't done any editing or anything to it.

It's from inside the car with 1/2 the back seat down so you can hear it better. Windows up and A/C on. In the background you will hear some rattling, that's just my golf clubs in the trunk. At about a 1:10 a cop pulls up across the intersection from me and prevented me from getting on it on the on-ramp. At just past 2:00 I kick it down a gear and for a split second you hear a bit of a blaring or "trumpeting," it only does this every once in a while when the conditions are just right. At about 3:35 I roll into the throttle a little in fourth and pull it up to about 125 mph before backing off, (too many cops hiding in the shadows of the overpasses here to do a really sprited pull).

Looking for some feedback on the exhuast note. No I don't have an ideal set up but I'm pretty happy with it. Headers and mid-pipe I put in myself, but the mufflers were already on the car when I got it. For all the guys out there that say Flows suck, do you really think it sounds that bad? I don't have anything really to compare it with. I think if I posted this up without my sig, without anyone knowing they were Flowmasters, I might get different responses.

Thanks guys................and girls.

It sounds a touch raspy for me, but overall I like it man. Also bear in mind it's real hard to convey the actual sound in Youtube vids. It probably sounds better up close and personal.

Yeah the videos that I have seen and even my own just aren't the same. There is a bit of rasp in it but I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. I am eventually going to go a prochamber or different mufflers. Just tooooooo many things to do first.

Thanks for tuning in Zippee.

Anytime man. Yeah I'd love to hear it go by me on the highway. It would sound completely different.

I like it. It does have a little more distinct sound than my car with Flowmaster's, but then again I don't have headers.

I'm trying to get my buddy to cruise outside of town with me so we can do a a drive by or two. I'm really curious to hear what it sounds like. Just can't get the schdules coordinated.

sounds sweet. The bottom line is if you're happy with it, screw what every one else thinks.

Thanks guys. The only time I don't like it is when I get that occaisional raspy trumpeting that pops up every once in a while. It only happens for an instant sometimes when I get on it and the tranny kicks down a gear + rpms jump. I am just wondering if it is worth it to go with a pro chamber to smooth this out or if I should go with a different muffler.

I would find someone with a PC and listen to it in person first. There's got to be someone in Sin City running one on an S197. Check with your local speed shops.

Yeah I would definitely want to hear it before I bought anything, just I don't know a lot of stangers in town. They have a couple of clubs here but with my schedule it's hard to get involved.

Hey Old Timer. That sounds nice! Is that with just the cat back? I've been wondering for a while what stingers would sound like on my set up. I looked in your garage and didn't see any headers or O/R pipe mentioned there. I'd really like to hear it at WOT, any blaring, trumpeting, or raspiness to it?

No LTs, on my to-do list though.
Just cat backs (got a deal) because axle back is just as good.
The CAI (Steeda) changed the sound too, I find.

If I can find a way to mount the camera so it don't tip over, I'll set it down 60ft in front of the car and go over it at WOT.
Keep you posted on this.
