Steeda Under Drive Pulleys and Cranking Problems
I had Steeda under drive pulleys install about one month ago. I have no problems with any of the accessories. Lights, AC and radio all work fine. I noticed at the beginning of this week that at startup, my engine cranks slow the first time and then starts with no problems. But I have also notice that each day the first crank is getting slower and slower. Any suggestions what the problem may be?

might be the battery or you are loaded waaaay too much. I'd start with the battery, then check your alternator.

+1 sounds like battery, you shouldnt be losing a charge. But i have never tried those pulleys and have had questions about them. Like maybe if you leave it idle for a while would it drain your battery because the alternator isnt spinning as fast?
:and off topic, how's the powersteering? feel stiffer or anything? and water pump raise temps or anything? |

You need to run at least a 650cca battery with pulleys.

I guess it depends on how much you drive your car. ![]() From the TSB: Vehicles that are stored for extended periods or are driven infrequently for short distances may need to use an auxiliary battery maintainer/charger that is expressly designed to maintain the battery state of charge during storage. These maintainers/chargers are available in the automotive aftermarket and should be used according to their manufacturer’s direction. OTHER APPLICABLE ARTICLES: 07-05-8 WARRANTY STATUS: Information Only - Not Warrantable

If I replace the battery, will I need to relash the computer with my tuner?

Now, I have one month left on warranty. If I take my car to the dealership, do you think that I may get conficts or grief from them about replacing the battery if they see the under drive pulleys?

^^likes homos
also, why cant you just go to autozone and buy one? i'm sure it'll be much cheaper and it's not like they're 'hard' to install or anything. i think autozone will even do it for you lol. and i agree with whoever said get an optima |

I'd buy a new battery like a Optima and if it fixes the problem you're good to go. If it doesn't, it means one of the diodes in the alternator went out and you'll need a new alternator. There is a TSB on it as well with a NEW part number for the REVISED alternator. If they look it up through a parts catalog you will get the old alternator and it'll just happen again.
