298 Stroker vs Heads/Cams

With the mods in my sig will I get more out of the engine by just doing a 298 stroker or would Livernois stage II heads w/ stage II SPR/BBR stage II cams give me more

I would think stage 2 spr cams and heads would give u more right now, but the stroker would set u up for more later

Well, if you need a good power fix for now then heads and cams will get you by for quite awhile. It seems kinda hard to put in a stroker kit with a perfectly good bottom end, especially if you stay N/A.

Absolutely!!! Enjoy blowing that motor sky high, I mean, Hell you paid for it!!! More cubes and no air flow seems like a waste to me! Do heads & cams and when It does blow all you have to pay for is the stroker! just my .02

I would save your money and do the stroker/head/cams all at once if you can...you'll feel a lot more torque, but it's probably going to be restricted with the stock heads. If you do decide to Stroke it, let me know what the machining and labor is.

It doesn't matter if you do heads and cams or not , if you do the stroker your still going to gain power under the entire curve. Where as with heads and cams alone your only going to gain on the top end mostly. If you gain any down low its not going to be much. Look at Rich's build. He did get some under the curve but not all that much. With a stroker you will get much more. Then when you have the money to do heads and cams or forced induction your base is there to turn up the whick anytime you want.

the stroker only yields 30, maybe 40 horse and torque increase throughout. not real noticeable, but its there. That plus my delete plates I could feel a difference, but for the money a guy spends on doing it...for 30 horse...not worth it. Heads and cams will net you more ponies for less money.

Fuckit! Stroke it and place a Mammoth on top.

I would go for the heads and cams now, then when your ready to stroke it you can have the top end to make real power out of the 298... After all 281 parts make 281 power.
