Thats one thing about the rx-8 i know im going to miss is its handling. My 8 is Lowered too so when im doing 60 thru on/off ramps thats just crusing speed ive hit 75-80 round them things to see what it can do and it takes them curves like a Champ but from what your saying these mustangs handle better then i thought they would what spring setup do you have because from what your telling me i would definately cop it.

i have the eibach pro kit, tokico d-specs, bmr lca's, and bmr panhard bar and support. all are adjustable. i still need a few things to make it real nice, but with just those it does handle pretty well. i'll just be glad when all this sand is off the roads so i can really push it. i also have some bfg kdw2's. 285/40's on back and 255/40's on front. both are on an 18' rim.
when i put on the wheels and tires it also rode smoother than the stock

The biggest problem I've had...
Is trying to keep the tires stuck to the road and worrying about how long it's going to take until I lose my license for speeding...
Those RX-8's do look really sweet.

The Fox Bodies are AWESOME, but I'd have to agree with GTNorm. I LOVE the OLD mustangs, but wouldn't trade my '07 for anything. To each his own and that's one of the things that make MUSTANGS GREAT... The OWNERS!!!

here it an idea, go to your nearest Airport and rent a Hertz's Rent-A-Racer: 2006 Shelby GTH. it's a GT Automatic with 3.55 gears, larger intake, pulleys and some suspention stuff. Drive it for a day, have some fun...
I have owned my 2005 GT since June 05 and I have 33,000 miles, and I love this car, Best Mustang ford ever built. No issues or complaints, no rattles or sqeeks, and like others have said, the sound of the engine is awsome. Get 4.10 gears installed, a must for N/A cars (3.73 for Boosted cars.) Get the JLT II Cold Air Intake or the C&L CAI both have the same HP Gains, C&L looks nicer but the JLT is 100 bucks cheaper, get the SCT XCAL Handheld Tuner with a Brentspeed or Evolution Tunes (Best Caned tunes) or find a local mustang shop that can do a Dyno Tune... Some people hate Underdrive pulleys but I like mine, the engine spins up quicker, and you get a few more ponies... No problems with them at all. Welcome to the site and to the Mustang community, Mustang owners are a different breed, They are proud yet humble. Our cars have a long history and thats what keeps the mustang alive.

4.10's are a BLAST on the highway... keeps you higher in power band. I'm speaking from experience, I have 4.10's in my '07 5-spd now.

This might help,
Calculators: This is an Microsoft Excel Worksheet that I created that calculates Rear End Gear changes and there effects to RPM and Speed, the chart will show the shift points as well. Also there is a calculator that will assist you in selecting the correct Tire size for your car including what Wheel and Tires combo will fit. Download the sheet here. http://home.comcast.net/~swieduwilt0...lculations.xls If you don't have Excel, you can get an excel viewer that plugs into your browser here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=EN

GT is a car you'll like. As everyone said, test drive one first, before you make the plunge.. If you're going to be modding the car, buy it as stock as you possibly can.. Money wasted on those bullshit overpriced ford packages is money better spent on mods that actually matter. Good luck!
