Thus the toggle switch to lockout R until it's intended.

Im guessing the toggle isn't needed if the resistance piece isn't removed.
Im still confused. isnt a 6060 in the gt500, im sure there is no toggle switch or saftey mechanism removed. But i wont take up the mans thread. As, im sure i will never see a 6060 unless I own a gt500.

well the PCM controlls the solenoid in the GT500...since our GT's don't have the TR6060 the extra connection to control the solenoid isn't part of our PCM to control it...therefore you need a toggle switch..

Something you can hook up, not necessary weather you have the piece or not; ie extra.

Ah, gotcha. Big difference. That's kind of comforting to know there's a computer controlled lockout on reverse....

Damn... how often do you speed shift 5th at 120+, and, how much more practice do you need at shifting?? ( the grind b4 you did would be well enough to disengage ).

Powershifted mine 6 times this weekend... if your clutch setup is good, shouldnt have a problem.

I think it may be more of a D and D cover their ass; which, for them... not a bad idea.

I couldn't agree with Chad anymore than this. I could almost see the reverse lockout for a track car with steep gears.
