Eibach Sportline Springs

If I get Sportline Springs is there anything I have to do in conjunction with them under the car? i.e. move the drive shaft, E-Brake Line, etc.?

I beg to difffer that you dont need anything with sportlines. With anything less then a 1.5 drop you can get away with doing nothing else even though its not ideal. With sportlines you need good shocks, you need relocation brackets, you need adjustable upper control arms, problaby a bumpsteer kit. You're just going to end up with a car that rides like shit and handles like shit all so it looks good? Do you want to look at it or drive it? To me if you cant afford to do the sportline level drop the right way learn to like a 1.3 inch drop.

IXMOTOXI. Got your pm. Sorry im on a time crunch trying to get my car fixed and im just consumed with it. On the welded relocation brackets. I dont have mine welded, for 100 passes, 389 hp, 1.70 60s now. Everyone is going to tell you to weld them. with some brands maybe you do, with bmr, I dont. Im just now cutting the kinda of 60 ft times that im probably going to get them welded if I get any more serious with the strip setup. But, 97k 100 passes and some trips to the road course and they are not welded. FWIW.

I was intending on getting the LCA's, but I'm not so sure about the UCA's and don't they have to be installed by a pro?

Notice the QA1'S and the rocks still stuck to that sticky tire. Homeboy was cutting some serious 60s.And probably making some power. Its your ride, you gotta sleep at night. But for me, i go with BMR, then say i dont need them welded until im cutting 1.70 60s, them I dont worry about it. I get a set of bogarts on my car, then welded for sure.

UCA be installed by a PRO. No its two bolts. Adjusted by someone that knows how to set the angle. Yea, probably a good idea.

You need more then LCA's for Sportlines if you want to keep a decent ride and good hanlding car.

Sportlines are a 1.6 and 1.9 inch drop? Right, or am i having a off day.

The angles on your suspension are going to be jacked, understeer will be worse becuase the a arms will be lower at the K member then they are at the tires. the rear lowers will be higher at the axle then at the chassis. The dampers will be overpowered by the stiffer springs and operating out of their stroke range so they will be stiffer constantly and wear out faster, the rear wont be anywhere near centered. Pinion angle also shallow.

You need adjustable upper control arm, lower control arms, relocation brackets, adjustable panhard bar, bump steer kit, and Bilsteins. And dont even think about 20 inch rims with those springs, it will hit like a tank.

Send me a Christmas card.

What about the Eibach Pro-Kit? 1.4 in the front and 1.6 out back. What do I need for that? And I was going to install the LCA myself, but I don't think I could install the adjustable UCA's for anything.

eibach pro kit for our car is 1.3 and 1.4. You might be looking at a spec for the convertible? Or actually let me back up, maybe you have a convertible? In which case thats probably the drop becuase the convertible sits higher to begin with. The springs are actually the same though.

any of the springs in the 1.5 or less range you can get away with not doing all that stuff. Pro kit, ultra lights, FRPP, ETC. The less the drop the less the issue. The lower control arms and relocation brackets to me are always a good idea.

Check out BMR springs. 1.25 in the front 1.5 in the back.

i am running the pro kit on the stock shocks with LCAs, brackets, and an adjustable panhard rod. all BMR. The ride is kind of stiff with my 20s, but i will be upgrading shocks soon once the stockers are worn (which will be quicker than normal because of the higher spring rate). The drop is enough for me, i didnt see the need to slam it like the sportlines do.

I believe the pic of the bent relo bracket was the original design and has been updated for some time now. Read that on another forum but dont remember where, so I cant validate it

You dont need to but I did it anyways...

Rich is correct on the adjustable UCA being a good thing to have with the sportlines...is it required? no, but its beneficial to realign the pinion angle of the driveshaft
