I can't figure out how to take apart the dash so i can get to the back of my stock radio. Can anybody give me some help. I'm trying to hook an amp up to it. I already have all the parts i need, i just can't figure out how to take the thing apart. thanks.

There is a side panel on each side of the center console that the radio is in.These pull straight back, they are just clipped straight into the dash without screws.
Then you need to take the console off.Open the console storage bin, and there are two bolts at the rear of it, remove these. Then remove the shifter knob by grasping the boot, and turning the shifter knob counterclockwise until it's off.Then the shifter boot comes off by pulling the front lip towards the rear of the car, and pulling the rear lip towards the front of the car.The rest of the console is clipped into place, and can be released by pulling on it firmly but gently straight up.
Once the console is off, there are 3 screws on each side of the panel that the radio is in,these would have been behind the two side panels that you removed.Once you have these screws out,you should be able to gently slide the panel forward, but not all the way out yet.Once you have it pulled forward enough to see behind it, disconnect all the plugs to the HVAC controls near the bottom of the panel, and also the three plugs at the top of the panel for the hazzards, traction control, and anything else that you may have there. (Your car may be optioned different than mine, but I doubt it's vastly different.)
Just take you time, and remember some things are screwed in, and some are clipped in.If you are trying to pry on something and it feels solid,it's probably because it is and is screwed down. Good luck.

I can't figure out were to run my cable from the battery. I tried running it through the door and into the dash and then putting it under the carpet, but i couldn't find a hole to get it into the dash. Do you have any Ideas?

The best thing to do is find a rubber grommet that is already in the firewall, then poke a hole through it, and run your power cable through this,that way the rubber grommet seals the wire, and it's not rubbing metal anywhere.You can find a grommet punch at your local automotive store, it's a screwdriver with the end cut at a taper so it punches through the rubber, and the shaft of the screwdriver is hollow, to run your wire through.
I believe on my car, I found a rubber grommet somewhere on the passenger side of the firewall,but I'm not positive. Just take your time and take care not to force the punch through any existing wires or gear.
I wouldn't suggest running the wire through the door, as that is a problem waiting to happen down the road. Once you get the wire through the firewall via a grommet, you don't have to worry about having wire under your carpet, if you have amps going in the trunk, you can just gently pry the door sill kick plates off (They are clipped in, no screws), run your wire down the channel that is there, and then go up under the back seat and into the trunk or wherever your amps will be.
Don't forget to fuse the main power wire between the battery connection and the firewall point ! Good luck man.

i have ALL PDF format on everything on how to remove/install torque specs just about anything in the new mustang. trust me I spend my days going on all mustang forums so I managed to score a lot of great helpful stuff for future installs/repairs.

I ran my 2awg power wire down the passengers side. There is a rubber gromet up high under the passengers side that you can see with a flashlight if you pull back the carpet up there. Take a metal coathanger and poke a hole through it. then just tape the power wire ot the end of that coathanger and pull it through. The gromet IM talking about also has a big pile of other wires running through it and I think it is the only one there so it is easy to find. Also it comes out right under your batter, os it is easy ot connect ot power.

Yeah I think I used the same grommet in my car as well.
