Tough Decision
I have a 09 bullitt right now. I was going to supercharge it and put a new suspension in it, not to mention other mods over the years. But then I thought of just trading in my bullitt and getting a 2010 GT500. Big change.
Which would be better to do? I'll admit I love the way the GT500 looks, but I don't know much about how good a car it is compared to an aftermarket mustang Also, I know the GT500 is already supercharged, but would it be possible to retune the supercharger to put out more horse?

I say 2010 GT500 is a better car even based on my little experience with them. I got to sit in one yesterday. Amazing interior setup and exterior looks, the exhaust note tops it all. You can get around 30 HP from just a tune on a GT500 so I've heard. Go 2010 GT500 definitely, you'd also be the first person on MM to own one. : D |

The 2010 GT 500 is waaay faster and yes you can add a pulley, intake and tune to get more out of it, However I think they have the intake covered. But If you want it go for it.

yea, I heard they are closer to 570 hp at the crank. Oh and expect to pay a premium since Ford recently announced they have decided to only make 2000 of them.

With DR's, a good driver and a tune you can cut, 11's stock if It has the 3.73's in the rear. An 11.5 if I am not mistaken.

If you can afford it then sure why not. VMP Tuning, Evolution Performance, Lethal Performance have all kinds of kits made for GT500s

you can get 600rwhp in a heartbeat. The rotating assembly is good to 800rwhp. It is a solid car. But lots of money. but if you got it why not?
That is not to say your bullitt is shit at all either. I love mine. I am keeping it for the long haul. But that is a tough choice. |

That 2000 production number has now been proven to be false. The 2010 GT500 at my dealer is selling at sticker.

That is a big decision. The GT500 is $45,000 then there's the after market adjustment.
![]() I'm replacing my daily driver in the spring...and am very tempted by the 2010 Taurus SHO with AWD, twin turbo V6 (365hp) and every comfort option for $40,000.

why not get a used 2007 gt500 and save some $$$, and then do the CAI/pulley/tune.
