went to track with my car for the first time.


Well lets say i need work lol.First off here is my set up and anyone feel free to chime in with advice.1st off traction was a problem.launch at 4k and spun thru second.Launch at 1500 bogged bad.launched at 2k bogged but not bad.All but last run was back to back.clutch and tranny was getting hot.waited over an hour and a half b4 last run.burned out too much for street tires but felt good so i went with it lol

2006 GT 5 speed
wheels: 20 inch razors
tires: crappy all season goodyears
suspension: stock
intake: C&L racer with diablo 93 tune
exhaust: weld in flowmasters
all else is stock.

Here are the times.

yes.me and rafa from dfwstangs.by the way clutch is fine.4 back to back runs with rafa just over heated things a bit.The last run the car was fine.need to get some track wheels and Drs now.im thinking 18 by 10 with 305s

I went out there with Ralph last week. If u are gonna go and buy new wheels, u should look at getting 15's... Not 18's. I already made that mistake.

congrats on getting to the track.

If you are interested in some stock 17 inch bullits for the track i can sell you some DR's mounted on my stock 17s. New tires shipped mounted and balanced.

I could never get a sub 2 second 60ft time on my Goodyear's...2.17 was the best I got. Not too bad. DR's will help tremendously. What rpm's were you shifting at? Powershifting?

15s on the rear would work but why buy 15s and have to run 17s up front???? that looks dorky.

yeah its either that or just run some 19 by 10s a guy wants to trade even for my razors.the are shelby heritage wheels with 305 mounted in the back
