Paxton or Roushcharger
Ok guy's here's the deal. I am ready to kick of a blower purchase. I have read the countless threads on the pro's and con's of both the Centri's and the Root's style blowers. Both have there pro's and con's.
My ride is a DD and I have not, and at present do not have plans for a bottom end build up so I am wanting to keep a conservative HP rating in either way I go. So the $100 question here is this - Breenspeed Paxton 2200 Centri SL satin kit (intercooled) out the door for around $4700 bucks delivered with custom tune. That is a cash discount plus a credit for my programmer. Or the Roushcharger standard with the Cold Air upgrade and customer JDM tune delivered for $5400. This is the best price for a full (non tuner) roots style kit that I can find ! What to do !

Forgot, the Roushcharger purchase would be through Stage 3 if I go that way.

if its between these 2 i would go with the paxton.
I'm getting this one sometime in the future Brenspeed Stage 2 Saleen Package 485+ HP. i think saleen has the best hp for ilbs of boost ratio. its a little more expensivve though

Would love that TVS but not planning on doing anything to the bottom at this point and I would not be able to benifit from all that the TVS is capable of.

Stay away from the little Roush blower, it's weak. I'd wait a while and get either the TVS or Whipple.

Exactly. Push 8 lbs on it and make a nice 450-460 rwhp.

Trying to keep the cost down, only so much to work with. And the KB an the Whipple are a bit out of reach right now. And if I don't do it now I probably won't have a chance to latter.

Paxton Novi 2200 over Roushcharger all day long. Paxton has a lot more potential.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a Paxton 2200SL NOVI and it is the cheapest HP. If you put in some 4.10's with that paxton you will be in the 11's no problem with the correct setup. Also if you get the BRENSPEED non polished package then you will be all set for under $5000.
All the other kits are reall expensive compared and the paxton is just fine. And able to make ass loads of power. They are not limited like a twin screw. (not that they don't make great power.) But 90% of all the fastest S197's are centri or turbo powered. And that is a fact. |

^ true. There is nothing wrong with a twinscrew. I would get a saleen or Techco or TVS or Whipple if you are getting a Twinscrew.
But the paxton is plenty of fun on the street with 4.10's and good launches. Plus once you get off the line and racing when are you below 3500rpms? |

I have had both centri and twin screw; I would take my twin screw any day over the centrifugal supercharger. Way more fun
You will be happy with the new power no matter what you go with. I would stay away from the roots style charger.
