new for 2007?
Whats differant on the 07's that changed from th 05-06? I was wondering because they are listed at having a faster 0-60 time (4.9 instead of 5.1), and also they are rated at more torque. I was also looking at superchargers and none of the superchargers that i looked that were made for 05-06 would fit an 07. Is the intake differant? The only things on the car that i know are differant is the bigger rotars(12.4) and calipars and the ipod input in the console. Do you guys know what is differant?

I have an 07, and mine is rated 300 horse and 320 torque, same as yours. Only thing I know about other than what you mentioned already, is mine has heated leather seats. Where did you see these numbers for the higher torque Juco? Linky ?

Sounds like he may have been talking out of his hat. The 07, to my knowledge, has the same numbers as the 05 & 06's.
Also, you have to watch those times. You have a lot of variables with testing, such as driver, weather, altitude, and individual car, to mention a few. You can go to 10 different magazine sites/forums whatever, and see times ranging from high 4's to low 5's for the 0 - 60 test. You can also take the same car out, at the same temperature, cool the car down to the same temp between blasts, and you will see different times. It takes quite a driver to come close to nailing the same times going down the track. So, 4.9 compared to a 5.1 is not a huge variable, and has nothing to do with the 07's being faster or having more power than the 05's & 06's.

As far as I know the 05/06 also were also rated at 0-60 at 4.9 with the manual transmission. It sounds like the guy who is telling you this is feeding you a line.

I'm not saying nothing has changed; that is very possible, I'm just saying that the power numbers and acceleration times are the same. But please, as I have an 07, prove to me that mine has more power, and I owe you a beer Juco

http://www.suttonhp.com/store/item.a...42&ITEM_ID=250 look at the bottom of this page. It says you need a kit to make the roushcharger fit the 07.

A-ha, thanks for the link, that's good to know man. So there are definitely mechanical differences on the 07's, but that doesn't necessarily equate to more power, it might just have been a mechanical change Ford made for other reasons. Be interesting to find out more on this, for sure.

When i searched 2007 mustang brakes i found this
"The standard four-wheel disc brakes have the biggest rotors and stiffest calipers ever fitted to a mainstream Mustang. Twin-piston aluminum calipers clamp down on 12.4-inch ventilated front brake discs. In the rear, the brake rotors are 11.8 inches in diameter." found this at bottom of this article under the powertrain and chassis section http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/mustang_gt.asp

Yes. Check this out too, I got looking around in my Mustang links, and found this in the C&L/Predator tuner info. It's also different for the 07's.
Linky Wonder what the deal is with this, near the bottom of the page: "2007 model support is now available through the NEW CL7145 Predator tuner. A hardware change in the automatic models neccesitates that the CL7140 tool used on 2005-2006 models will not support 2007+ vehicles. When ordering for a 2007+ model Mustang, please be sure that you specify that you need the CL7145 version, as denoted with the different part numbers below. " |

According to this article the 2007 frame is differant than the 05-06.
"The Mustang sports optional features such as a color-configurable instrument cluster (MyColor, only available as part of the Interior Upgrade Package), Shaker 500 (500 watts peak output) CD/MP3 6-disc audio system, Shaker 1000 (1,000 watts peak output) CD/MP3 6-disc audio system, and brushed aluminum panels (as part of the Interior Upgrade Package). In 2007, the Mustang received more features such as heated seats, Sirius satellite radio, and an automatic tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The 2007 Mustang chassis, suspension, and body shared many of the same designs and construction as the GT500. There is thicker sheetmetal/support and extra welds on the 2007 chassis. Another example is found in the re-designed strut towers on the 2007 Mustang; they accommodate the wider 5.4 L 4V V8 engine in the GT500. Another example is the rear diffuser from the 2007 GT California Special package (GT/CS) being used on the GT500." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustang...0.93present.29
