Three Valve 4.6 in New Edge

My 2v decided to commit suicide last night so I'm going to need a new engine within the next week or two. I tried to search up a 3v swap but I couldn't use the term "3v". I read on here what was needed before, I thinking something might needed to be changed on the wiring harness, the battery would need to be relocated, what else am I missing?

I have been contemplating the same thing. I was thinking about a blown and sprayed 3v stuffed in a gutted New Edge or SN-95.

Dont you need the VCT lockouts?

How much does a 3v engine cost anyway?

EDIT: Found!

For him it would be more worthwhile to just buy a longblock from Livernois, MMR, or some shop that cranks out blocks like that in high volumes, because the machining costs are almost nothing.

For me, I just want a cheap block, because I'm going to build it myself. I don't care if won't run, as long as it's complete with the harness, and computer.

Also, you need to find a way to get your gas pedal work with the 3v engine. Yours is cable, needs to be wire.

Personally if I had a new edge and looking to do a swap I would be more inclined to swap a termi motor swap... It would definitally require less than a 3v swap.

They're too expensive, and I did it twice, and I just don't want to go down that road.

What happened to the OPs engine anyway?

Personally if it can be rebuilt I would just forge it or something. I dunno im not one to change a lot of things at once like that, seems like more problems come up after that.

regardless a 3V is a far superior engine, which is probably why he wants to swap.

There is someone either on here or stangnet that has a 3V new edge, but I cannot remember his name. Maybe try and find him somehow.

454 CI LSX block ftw.

1FF, a termi engine swap into the OP's 3v sounds pretty cool.

OP, here's a thread concerning a 2v to 3v swap:

Really?

Considering you would have to swap the fuel system for the termi motor.
