I have hit 30 on mine many times. They are pretty good on gas on the highway for a muscle car.

damn i wish. i've been averaging 22-24 while going to tulsa. i noticed after new wheels and tires it got a little worse than with the stock ones. that is just cuz they are a bit heavier and wider.

WOW!!! You guys are VERY lucky! The best I've done is 20mpg. Of course, I just can't seem to keep my foot out of the injectors!!!

lol, think about that, though, boss, driving hard, you are getting 20 mpg. 20 years ago when I had big block mopars, I was lucky if they got 8 mpg, and that would be driving normally. With my foot in it, you would have been able to watch the fuel gauge drop as you drive practically.Mind you, gas was far cheaper then, and I know people don't buy these types of cars for the mileage, but I use mine to drive 400km (248 miles) one way to work each week in the summer. So it's nice to be able to have all kinds of fun, and then get the mileage when I just have the cruise on.
So as christorres says about the Hondas, they may get 40 mpg, and some of them may even be quick, but I would rather get 20 mpg while 320 lb.-ft of torque is punching me in the spine.

I am usually at 18- 20mph and do mostly city driving. Funny story, I used to have a 85 5.0. My other car broke and we had to take it from CO to NC. I couldn't beleive that it got 32mpg on the way there and it got around 30 on the trip back. I do have to say, that Stang was fun when we got around Memphis. I almost went sideways trying to merge on I-40. LOL!!! Getting down to sealevel made that car a whole new beast. TheUNZippee, I totally agree with the loss of gas mileage if I can feel it in the Spine. Something about a V8.

Everyone always tells me how much gas mileage must suck on my 2006 mustang gt automatic. I always tell them that i get great gas mileage and i truley do. I drive an hour to work top speed 85 to 90. On average i get around 30mpg in cruise control. In the city i get around 19 to 20 mpg. I dont drive like a pussy my girlfriend will tell you that. Also you can tell by the nail marks on the passanger door handle.. j/k. I have a k&n CAI, flowmaster axleback and a diablosport predator tuner. I couldnt be happier with my import gas mileage and my american muscle car performance and attitude!!

When I first got my GT I got 24-25 Highway, After CAI and Tune 26-27, then I got Roush UDP and I got 27-28. went the wrong way with my FRPP 4.10 Gears at 22-23 highway and 18-19 City as it sits today.
Did anyone notice a drop in MPG with the 10% ethanol gas? I loose another 1-2 MPG with the cheap stuff..
