What is the differance between an '06 and '07 Mustang GT

I was talking to a rep at Kenne Bell and he said they don't have a kit for the '07 as of yet. My question is what is the differance between an '06 and a '07 Mustang GT? I don't see any physical changes so that is why I am asking the experts.

The frame is also a little differant. The 07 frame is the same for the shelby, CS, and the gt. They gave the frame more support and room to hold the shelby's 5.4 engine. I also think the brakes are a little bigger and as maverick said the intake is a little differant.

I have a 07 and I heard that too about brakes being a little better. You must remember, though, any modds cannot be applied to a new year unless they are certified and actually installed and tested by the company that manufactured the modd. There are too many legal liabilities to say it will work with an 07 without knowing with absolute certainty. Moreover, there are tons of changes that are not documented for the general public. These intricacies are only known to Ford engineers.

In a nutshell. The 2007 is better than the 05 and 06. Stronger, more powerful and most likely safer. I offer anyone to offer a side by side to question otherwise. I have seen dynos on all 3 years and yes, the 07 is better. Ford is simply refining the monster to perfection

I had waited for Procharger to make their 07 kit from september to november and finally just bought an 05 kit. As mentioned above the cooling piping from the intake changed, they have eliminated the dual upper intake lines and reverted to a single upper and single lower connection also negating the oil cooler bypas that used to reside just in front of the pulleys.

I had to weld up the new puke tank supplied by Procharger on one side. A few other small items were worked out in the base tune I had Brenspeed do for me as well. They just gave me a tune so I could baby the car to the dyno. However there were subtle changes form 05-06 to the 07 of which Brent worked out and I didn't need to really know about. They're the experts and I let him do his thing.

I'm at the dyno for my tunes tomorrow morning 10am and we'll see what she lays down. I'm all fired up to get the numbers...

Basicly, the 05 and 07 are Exacly the same, except The V6 and GT have
new comfort packages that really make this muscle car more luxurious but
no less macho. A 6-way power passenger seat is complemented with
heated seats and there is also an electrochromic mirror with compass. The
tire pressure monitoring system with 18" wheels

SIRIUS Satellite Radio is now available for those individuals who want
commercial free music and are willing to pay for the option.

The V6 also has an option for 17 inch wheels which makes the 2007 Mustang even hotter.

The GT has an appearance package that includes an engine cover, rolled exhaust, and hood scoop.

Grabber Orange is a new color reminiscent of the '60s and will surely get you noticed on the roads. Alloy Grey is another new color option this year
that many buyers will want.

A new option for V6 Mustangs with the Exterior Sport Appearance package is a new and improved spoiler.

The upgraded body for all 07 Mustangs, for the Shelby GT500; FoMoCo elected to upgrade the entire Mustang production for 2007. Includes:
changes to the Front Strut Tower Braces to support the weight of the 5.4L motor. there are some added bolt holes got GT500 handling parts, not included on the GT.

Engine: All three years are the same, in 07 they modified the cooling piping to accommodate the FRPP Supercharger (hehe screwed KB, Saleen ect..)

But the motors are the same no HP increase for 07 GT and V6 models.
some programming changes because the a new MAF to correct a moisture issue with the old one. But the SAE ratings on the 05-07 4.6L 3V v8 are the exact same

No new tranny changes either. They did add the option for 3.55 gears in the automatic which is nice...

The ECM is new to incorporate the added options like the Tire pressure sensor and the temp /compass mirror.

Overall the changes are cosmetic most of which were interior.
the 07 weights about 40 lbs more that the 05-06 this is because of the strut tower changes and added brackets for the GT500 and Future options like the Boss 302 :award

TDog, The Brakes are the same on all GT's 05-07 12.4 Vented front and 11.8 rear dual piston calipers. How can the 07 have more power when the motors are the same? Sure the 07 is stronger and has a lot of cool options that I with I have in 05, be realistic in your statments please.

I used Car and Driver since they tested all three I thought this would be accurate.
