axle backs

i'm looking for an axle back(s) that is louder than mac but not quite as loud as the loudmouths, can someone help me out? thanks

i've always left my stock pipes from the mufflers back on there. i had a 93 cobra and my 03 GT,both of them had stock tailpipes on'em and sounded great.

I am very happy with my Steeda axle back. Not sure how loud the Mac is on the new stangs, but I had Mac on my 96 Cobra, and the Steeda are maybe a touch louder, but with a better note

The Ford Racing Borla's are nice. I ahve those and it is a good sound. I think it could be a little throatier but all in all it sounds pretty sweet when you give it the gas. Very old-school hot rod sounding. And, at 4-6k RPM, outside the car, it sounds wicked loud. :-) (Stood around while they dynoed it...both scary and cool.)

thanks for all replies, i'm deciding between power flo's, frpp borla, and mac. i've had mac and was wondering how it compares to the sraight through mufflers.?

I am sticking with the MAC's because I plan to install LT headers, High Flow Cats and the pro chamber, this setup should make the MACs louder.

I put the Macs on mine and lov'em.Just the right "loudness". I've had people hear my car now and say"S*** thats ALOT louder than what it was stock".

i have to be a little cautious when driving around cops now with the slp's. i can only imagine how loud they will be with an x-pipe and long tubes. is anything else out there that is louder than these???
