High Speed Hood Flutter

So has anyone found a solution to the hood flutter yet? That other thread was getting way too long!!!

I can not find anything about this topic anywhere on the net. Other than info on adjusting the hood stops. Has anyone tried this yet?

Sometimes you can fix this simply by backing out the rubber hood stops. The best way, if you like that look, is a good set of hood pins.

Hood Pins, they will only cure the hood fluttering. it was a well known issue.

people were victims of the hoods blowing open during high speeds cause of the design of the hood. they invested into $50 hood pins, and problem solved!

There are documented cases of just adjusting the rubber bump stops to eliminate this.

Of course you can never go wrong with a nice set of hood pins.
I'll probably get a set pretty soon myself since I'm getting into the road race thing. I should be hitting 100+ often.

Dont spend money

No kidding, writing this will take longer than it does to fix your hood shakes. And it IS TRUE all you need to do is back off the 4 front rubber hood stops 1/2 turn at a time each, just exactly the same.

You may have to do this a few times before its perfect but it will fix it. My 07 GT never had the hood shakes I have been hearing about, till just latley.
I have had mine 5 months. A fast truck went the other way past me on a two lane road and it rocked my hood pretty bad.

I pulled over at a safe spot, and pulled up on the hood lightly with it closed from right at the front of the hood in the center. It had some play that wasnt there before. After backing out the stops by just twisting counter clockwise as I allready mentioned above, I could gently close the hood and it then had no play at all.

The first time or two I had them too high and the hood wouldnt latch, just drop them a bit "clockwise" little bits at a time.

NO more hood shakes no matter how fast you go. I promise!!

sounds to me like the latch is moveing up a bit at high speeds...have yall check for any play in the latch area....maybe moveing that down alittle might help...that what we used to do and the body shops i worked at that way every thing stays even and inline
