Techco was never bankrupt...the main investor (also the owner), decided to close the doors of the company.

We'll see how much power my car makes when I've got cams, longtubes, and get my blower is ported, etc.

We don't count boost spikes with a TVS since they don't do anything for power but okay ... haha

you dont count boost spikes, instead, you just make up an average psi of your choice...sounds solid
i can understand rounding down maybe a half psi or under due to spikes...but not almost 2lbs of boost dude

care to explain how you calculated your "nominal" boost...I would love to hear it
due to the inability of the tvs to maintain boost at a consistent level, you're supposed to calculate nominally now? this sounds like the argument those retards were making about the edelbrock...ya it made 10psi but we average it at 6-7 ![]() your boost curve is all over the fuckin map, idk how the hell anyone would calculate your boost other than what it seems to spike at several times whatever dude, doesnt matter. just know if you're gonna put shit down that I run on my car, ill gladly give my input

Irregardless, stop your crying because I said I wouldn't recommend the Saleen. I never put it down and said it was garbage. I just didn't recommend it because it's not what I'd put on my car. Go take your Midol and get some sleep. |

How much more scientific do you want me to get? The tuner clicks the mouse and drags some stuff and the SCT software gives you a number. I'm going to go adjust my headlights though.

TechCo = Adios TechCo = No More TechCo = No makey blower anymore TechCo = no techy supporty if u by blower TechCo = The Fail Other than that, that blower would be an excellent choice.

![]() Turn yours up to just shy of 13 lbs and let us know what happens. And give me some long tubes and cams as well...and a ported VMP inlet elbow we'll see who is king of the blower wars at low boost. I admit with a TVS the boost is all over the place. It is a characteristic of the design. It is not anything that affects drive-ability...power is smooth and linear. What I'm saying is that using the TVS characteristic boost spikes is not a fair way to figure what amount of boost the unit is making...especially at redline where the BOV opens up as the throttle is released, but right before that happens there is always a big spike. There is no formula...but anyone with any tuning sense can look at the boost curves and eyeball-average the stress the engine is under in terms of PSI. On the chart I am posting, I think it is fair to say I am making 10 PSI to 5500 RPM and then 12 above that. Heck, I laid down 505 RWHP and that is INCLUDING the highest spike of the run at 11.67 PSI. So call it over 500 RWHP at 12 PSI. Can a Saleen do that with no headers or cams and porting? I don't know - I am asking. Throw up a dyno chart...I'd like to see. There is a TVS-equipped P-51 owner laying down over 700 RWHP with mods like you have - on a 4.6 - and it is not a stroker. Here are three runs from my car. Take from it what you will, but anyone can see it is pretty efficient for the level of boost I am running...and keep in mind, I have no headers, cams, porting, etc. It is a stock TVS, a stock crank damper pulley, and an oversized snout pulley to lower boost (Carmen's custom 3.47"). Oh yeah, factory cats are on there too! And don't think I'm dissing your Saleen for one second...that is a sweet design and I would be proud to have one on my car. And I wish mine whined like yours does. I miss the whine my M90 had. I just think the TVS is a newer, more efficient design, that is all. Things evolve.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in IAT's at similar boost levels with the two superchargers?

Look at post #47 Going to see what the Saleen blower is really capable of... - Page 2 - WWW.S197FORUM.COM
But everyone seems to forget Mickeys blower is more effecient than any blower ever put on a car because it was built by GOD and OBAMA.

Hard to tell, IAT's will vary with weather, location. ex: summertime my air temps run in the 110-115 range under normal driving, right now with cooler weather they are in the 95-100 range This is in the South Louisiana weather.

Personally I would go with a Saleen Supershaker.

Post 47 says: Mickey, got a video of your cams? Don't we all know he has cams and a ported Saleen blower?
