This is the best apples-to-apples comparison I've seen of an E-Force against another blower. Same tuner, same amount of aggression in the tune, same dyno, same model mustang GT, both are Autos. Both are otherwise stock.

E-force:
The boost there is as indicated up to about 5300 or so, then it ramps up to the higher of the two numbers mentioned below.

Whipple HO - which is actually 11psi across the board, not 10 as they claim.

Now.....compare numbers in the lower and mid bands.

FYI: 20 degrees isn't that conservative. I'm not even running that much timing on my set-up at any given RPM.

Mine is 20 deg peak at some high rpm, I forget. It ramps to 20 at some point, I forget where.

It ramps up? It should be ramped but it should decrease in the upper RPMs to reduce load and stress on the stock block.

a 66-76mm turbo with a ~.80-.96 o/c ar will get you where you want to be... basically a medium sized t4....... easy enough.. and will spool fast enough to catch the twin or roots when its gettin in the meat... past that, we all know what happens to a turbo car givin a lot of rpms... it pulls hard.

turbos are cheap.. you blow one up its like a $900 fix.. my tc78 and pt88 can both be had for $1000 each. I loved my pt88 and 408 when it was running

shanec, dude...the excuses are never ending, no offense brother.

earlier in the debate, didnt someone mention more torque for the e-force? dont see that happening as indicated by your chart at the top of this page...not even close...i have cams and a ported blower which should give me waay more horses than torque, yet my numbers are similar to the eforce with stock cams up there ^

first, you never post a dyno sheet with boost or a/f, so we're comparing apples to donkey dicks for all we know.

second, you are comparing two different cars up there with the same aggression in the tune? care to explicate on that? and you go out of your way to call out whipple for claiming 10psi instead of 11psi when the e-force claims 7 and spikes to 10? give me a fuckin break man. this is getting old

edit: lmfao, dude the whipple chart is SPIKING at 10.4psi and you are rounding to 11psi?!! wow, i am at a loss for words

have at it, eforce ftmfw!!

second edit: that eforce is making 475rwhp @ 11.5psi!!! holy shit batman, a new record! ok, ive said enough now

Im just waiting for people to hop off edelbrock's dick and realize that the company is what is proven, not their blower

the saleen blower IS PROVEN and has been for the last four years

Mickey I agree with most of your post but seriously get off this shit. The TVS spikes boost. It's a part of the blower. Nothing any of us can do to change it. Measuring peak boost would be idiotic. We see that peak boost for maybe 2 seconds? That's fair, I bet we're gaining a lot from those two seconds. Irregardless if you're so against these spikes and only want to talk peak numbers, let's not be a hypocrite, your Saleen made 488 at 6.9 lbs not 6.5 lbs. I mean fuck if you wanted to round than wouldn't you of rounded to 7 lbs? It might be a good idea to change the signature now.

Mike, the spikes are the least of my points in that post dude...and as far as rounding...really? .4psi? you are "rounding" like 2psi brother, whatever, im done with that and I could care less. My other points are valid and I still want explanations for that.

He called out hte whipple for 11psi? it spiked at 10.4...where the fuck do you get 11 from that? Again, whatever man. eforce ftmfw

and my signature IS VALID. I AM MAKING 488rwhp @ 6.5psi...look at my chart sweetheart

The Edelbrock is a piece of shit, trust me I know. It would not produce power on my car. At least with the Techco I am making decent power, yea they may have closed the doors but they sure made a hell of a product and their tuners where first class. Now looking at the Techco blower and SMS blower, they do look a lot alike and I'm sure I can get parts for it down the road. Everybody is trashing Techco, shit happens in the real word and if you don't have an investor backing you any new company would have went titts up, doesn't mean you made a shitty product......................

Didn't Chris install spark plugs that were broken, twice, in your car and that's why it wouldn't produce power?

According to him they chaged the plugs (twice) and the coils (where) are brand new too. Dunno, but my car did not like that thing, kinda like a spoiled little rich bitch having to go to McDonalds I guess......................

Those damn HT0's.

Sorry, couldn't resist, Nasty.

OP: I think the Edelbrock has proven itself in enough cars now that we know it is a good product. So is the Saleen. So is the Roush TVS. So are KB and Whipple.

Pick what you like - or get a good deal on. That is what I did. I researched them all and was going to go KB Mammoth, but I got a smoking hot deal on my TVS and I honestly couldn't be happier. As a daily driven street car, I have more power than I can put to the ground with my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. You also want to factor in local tuners and what unit they are most experienced with.

Mickey has proven that Saleen is an awesome blower, especially when modded like he has done, and those units make a sweet sound.

The TVS units are much more quiet.

The TVS is quiet? I thought they had a decent whine to them? Dimora makes a great point. Honestly, your choice should come down to what kind of deal you can get. The Whipple, KB, TVS, and Saleen are all great. Just shop around and see what sticks out

And the car they ended up installing your blower on ran 11.6's in the 1/4.

yeah, no power at all.

I know you experience sucked. I don't envy that at all. I went through a lot of shit myself when I installed mine. Nothing like you faced. I feel for ya on that.

But E-Force's do make power. Plenty of it.
