I like the crease of the old wheels but I like the new lip. So, can we get some new wheels? Third time is a charm maybe?

Those are the ones with the machined lip? I think tirerack has those, the Shelby's?

The machined lip ones are the best looking bullitt style rims, imho. Like most everyone else here, can't stand the new rounded lip ones at all.

Rich, did you check Tirerack? Input your car and year, and for the wheel manufacturer, select Shelby to narrow down just the wheels made by Shelby (torqthrust). They have 18" wheels in 18x9 and 18x10, but the 10" wide ones are on backorder right now.

They look like the type you want.

I kinda like the new style, a lot smoother. I think they fit the body style better.

If you call tirerack they will tell you that shelby discontinued the black ones.

Yes mine have a machined lip, but are not shelby, and my fronts aren't deep. Rich there should be pictures in my garage. If not tomorrow I'll try and get a closer one for ya.

Just a FYI.

The body shop is telling me that the reason they have been given by all the wheel makers as to why the style was changed is ford. They said that the old style was just a copy of the stock rims only wider and Ford put a stop to it. I find this kind of hard to beleive. not that ford would put the kiebash on it but that they even could.. lol edged or rounded makes a difference? I dont think so. hell why wouldnt ford just say no Bullit rims period. They cant dictate curves on a rim. The reason is it probably it cost less to machine it this way. Anyway here nor there the guy is going to fix my other rims which is fine with me as long as they can be balanced properly. I dont need new rims.

Next year if i can redo the whole car like i want its going to have some Foose rims and a whole new paint job and a 5.0 etc etc etc. So just get it rolling again for now is all i want.

I think they would look good as a full set. But not together.

Rich,

I bought mine from either discount tire or tirerack online - I can't remember which. One of those two places is bound to have the old style still in stock...
