I saw a ~3% difference between the two on my car when it was making a little more than 300 rwhp with bolt ons. Obviously it's going to increase when you add forced induction and more power. My car makes about ~7-8% difference between the two with ~530 rwhp. Like you said, it's obviously going to be different depending on all of the conditions. I'll stick with SAE since that's what most tuners use and it can be used more properly to compare set-ups (if everyone used the same).
My buddy also was saying that for some reason STD seems to work best for boosted cars because the act of forcing air into the engine tends to mess with the way the dyno reads power when it comes to atmospheric corrections on the other scales.

so Rich, are you going to be picking up the new manifold? Do you think it would be worth your money?

Eventually there will be an aftermarket intake on my car. Dont forget I know first hand there is power and ET to be gained over the stocker. Whether its my car is a factory freak or my tuners are just that fucking much more brilliant then the rest of the mustang world or my specific mods are just the magic recipe, either way some aftermarket manifold will be on my car next summer. The price on this intake is nice it will be tough to beat.

Right now I dont have the money nor the time to mod my own car.

In theory what would the gains be going from a stock intake w/ cmdp's vs C&L or FRPP Intake which already remove the plates. I know it depends on mods and it should gain more but is the $800 worth it for the gains compared to $300 for cmdp's

Call c&l and ask them. I can not remember all the test they did. He claimed 40hp on a cammed head car at 6800 rpms. Thats not a peak on peak measurement, i dont know what the peak on peak was which is what everybody seems to be interested in. They said they also found that a single blade tb got rid of some low and mid range power loss. Which if you take note that livernois engine has a whipple single blade TB on it. Its funny becuase i was told that in a test with a gt500 TB and the single blade whipple the difference was exactly 7 hp gain throughout the power band which is what the dyno is showing that MF123 posted. Maybe that dyno isnt the intake comparision, mistakes happen and the wrong things get posted when you have 100 dynos of test.

I also saw one gain 20 peak on peak.

Is $800 worth a 40hp gain at 6800 rpms to you? For some people who arent willing to rev it there maybe not. But if my car was falling off at 6200 before and now it pulls to 6800. Thats worth every bit of $800 to me and it would certainly make a difference at the track between those two cars.
