Since I've had the car... never. Neither looked that dirty when I was doing the install last night, but it was pretty dark when I got around to putting everything together. I was thinking about bumping the idle up to 900 or 950 to see what that would do

850 is perfectly fine. I'd contact them and see what they say. While they are figuring it out, I'd get some MAF Cleaner from the Auto parts store and clean the MAF. It's a long shot in the dark.

It could easily be the tune... or a vacuum leak. Check the fuel trims.

This is the email I got from them:
"I would remove the new CAI package and clean the oil/carbon buildup on and around your throttle body blades. We have seen this oil contamination cause some idle fluctuation because of the sensitivity of our throttle speed."

Make it a habit of cleaning the MAF and TB every other oil change or at least every 10k miles. Glad it's cleared up.
