Do both(Street/Racer) C&L CAIs come with either inlet elbow(black or aluminum)?

Got my CAI about a week ago, put it away while I'm waiting for my tuner to come through the mail. Then I decided to look online real quick and realized that the photos I see of the street kit which requires no tune has a regular aluminum looking inlet elbow.

Then looking at the racer kit, the elbow looks like it's always painted black.

Is that just an option, or did I accidentally get the C&L Street kit which doesn't need a tune?

The C&L Racer is black plastic. Its not painted black. It looks like this:

C&L Street is Aluminum and looks like this:

If yours is Aluminum and you were supposed to get the racer intake, they messed up and sent you a street intake.

Alright, so if I put a Racer intake on the car before I upload the tune, it will throw a code or just wont run correctly? If I put a street intake on the car, it will run with no problems right?

No. Both need tunes. The Racer moves more air than the Street, but both move much more than the stock.
