You should install the tune for that intake...for example, there is a "C&L induction systems" tune which was for the 87mm intake made by C&L (part of their TrueFlow series) and the "C&L Racer inake" tune which is for the larger TrueFlow "Racer" intake, which I have. You cannot use the DS Predator tunes for this, as they are for the stock airbox or stock size intake tube and MAF sensor (intakes that do not require a tune, in an aftermarket application). Check with the manufacturer or your dealer on the application of your intake and if a tune is required. If so, use the intake-specific tune. If not, the canned (pre-installed, DiabloSport-created, stock-airbox tunes with specified minimum octane ratings for fuel) tunes will suffice. Hope this helps. As I said before, if you have the Racer intake (95mm, I believe) and don't have the older tune available in your options, I can send the 8r38 tune which is the last that had it before C&L shut that down. That would be for the 05-06 Mustang GT, BTW. Tuner model U7140.

It took me quite awhile a few years ago to figure this out BUT if you upgrade your U7140 to the newest crom you will lose all the stored C&L tunes. Dialosport has a forum and they will just tell you to use the 91 octaine canned tune and advance the timing 2 degrees to make it a 93 tune and that will work for the C&L intake.

Well that didnt make me happy.....soooo I ended up ...well.....

to read the story with link clicky here.

That should answer your questions as well as give you your tune.

i havent plugged my diablo in yet, bought it used, i have the c&l street intake, i wont do any more bolt ons for awhile, ill just s/c it down the line, so an intake and tuner along with exhaust is all for me, so i dont want to get a custom tune or anything, but i have the calibration piece in my c&l now, should i install the c&l intake tune and remove the piece or leave the piece in, and install the 93 tune? which 93 octane is what i run anyway
