Ford Racing lowering kit?

So guys...i have had my 06 gt for about 10 months now and have some cash to make it better. The first thing i want to do is a lowering kit and was looking at the ford racing lowering package and was wondering if it was worth the bucks and just get some feedback on it. I am open to other kits also so let me hear about em.

It's a good package with the proper struts, & comes with a nice strut tower brace to tie the whole package together, and they lower the car properly, and you maintain your factory warranty. I'll be getting this package myself in the spring.
Welcome to the forums.

Yep, I have it as well. (I am assuming you are talking about the FRPP Handling package)

It looks good, handles good...its stiff, and I understand some kits allow the ride to be adjusted for firmness and so on, but I am a noob and don't know about that stuff anyway so I just ate some extra twinkies to add cushion to the seat. :wink

My gearhead buddies took my '07 around the block and didn't seem to have an issue with the ride.

How much does it lower our car? And also, does any one have driveway clearance issues? Basicly, do you ever scrape anything on the ground?

I believe the FRPP kit lowers the car 1.5 inches. For myself, with my lower than stock profile tires, this difference does factor in on steeply inclined driveways, curbs and some taller concrete wheel stops in parking lots.
