Top Speed on your GT?

I'm curious cause I got up to 132 once but ran out of road and haven't wanted to chance a ticket since then... I DID have more left...

Mine is a bone stock 05...

(And please, no replies about safety... we know already)

Topped at round 140 mph with plenty of straight road ahead (Idaho desert). Weather was warm, maybe upper 80's/lower 90's. Mine is also stock 05 GT. I heard there was a governor of some sort in place...don't know if that's true or not...is that where a chip and tune comes into play??

135-140 ish in 4th, went into 5th, hit 145, then saw lights behind me, cut down backroads...(lost the lights

) still havent put it back up there since...not enough time/road...

Oh PAHLEASE!!!!! There's more than 150mph in these beasts!!!! I had 147 when I ran out of room... I'm going to Montana this summer to check it out once and fpr all!!!

it was on a long highway trip and I had cruise control on the whole way, and I was averaging 60 mph. then the traffic opend up with no cars in site, fences on both sides and the next exit was still 8 miles away so I went for it. man that Average MPG started to drop real fast though. bummer.
That was with 4.10 gears and 93 octain tune. I was at 24.2 when I started.

What rpm is your car turning at 70 mph in top gear with those 4:10's, 2k05?

btw guys I'm pretty sure the computer shuts her down at 147 mph.

Dunno...what's 4500 rpm in 5th with 3.31s? (Speedo was wrapped) Bone stock after break in... 155-ish? No B.S....
