Have you checked the fuses or tried reseting the computer?

Just unhook the neg terminal of the battery for about 30 minutes. What about the rest of your guages or the dash lights ( are they turn on and operating )? Cause this would rule out the fuse. Could also be a bad sensor... How many miles are on your car?

I'd imagine it's a bad sensor but I've never heard of anyone having one of them go out in a S197 but I guess it's possible.

Sounds to me ( which is hard to say without being at the car ) like its the sensor if everything else is reading fine. But you can still reset the computer and see if it helps any. Maybe you will get lucky...

The CHT ( Cylinder Head Temp ) is located on the head under the intake manifold.

Your warranty wont automatically void just cause you have a tune. For the tune to get in the way of the warranty it would have to be something that is affected by the tune. For instance... If you had a brake problem that would be covered under warranty naturally, it would still be covered even if you brought it in with the tune. Did you get an extended warranty or something other than the factory 3yr/36k one?
