so now that i got my new lights in, i cant see shit lol.

i sprayed them with Nightshade and they look great. I knew this would reduce visibility some but good god its bad. i run around with my brights on and havent been flashed yet. and i still cant see any kind of distance.

anybody know if these bulbs will help?

Well I'm not sure that I understand. You want darker headlight lenses (and running those little projector lights) but you want it to be brighter so you can see? WTF did you expect? I'm done.

If your running brights and still have sight issues, the silverstars are not going to be much better. They have a much whiter light, but it isn't more intense.

Try a hid kit is my suggestion. May or may not work as well. However the output is so much greater over stock I'd rather see you try that.

This is one of those learn by mistake moments. Kinda sucks, but we all been through it. A little thinner with the night shades next time..

Sorry buddy, rough day. No excuse on my part.

EMAY's right, but I don't think you can run HID's in those projectors. I think my kit said not to run them with projector housings. I think the HID's run too hot or something.

Maybe try like a plastic scratch remover kit or wet sanding with 2000 grit to lighten up the spray stuff.

well for one thing I know that those lights you have just by themselves are dimmer then your stock lights and then you sprayed them which made them worse.

solutions wet sand it like boss says or

get new lights

sorry bro but we all learn from our mistakes, and others.

i can tell you from experience that nightshade stuff won't come off easy with 2000 grit. I tried it out on my fogs and didn't like it so I took it off. Have to start lower like 400-500 ish and work your way up to 2000 (preferably with an orbital sander)

Only reason you can't run a hid in a projector is because the projectors lens is plastic. If it's glass as it should be, hids will be fine. HIDS run cooler not hotter than stock bulbs, but the focused light output is pinned through the lens and a hot spot occurs in the focus area.

Should be able to tell if it's a true glass projector lens at a glimpse.

I just got those same headlights for christmas and finally installed them a few weeks ago. Everything I read said that they are NOT compatible with HIDs.

I have a separate issue, my high-beams are jacked, ones aimed at the sky and the other's at the ground. But we've been in the middle of (for my area) a blizzard and I haven't had much of a chance to go screw with em.

Good to know. I wasn't sure of why they're not supposed to be used with projectors.

trying to find a spot that's not covered in snow still. hate snow. still not sure if the high's are adjustable independently of the lows.

hey, I almost posted on that shifter thread, but I didn't wanna go crazy posting on two different threads in the same day. gotta pace myself.

thnx for the help guys. i think my highs are pointed a little low too. i guess i'm gonna try to sand a little off and try to point them upward a little to see if that helps. apparently getting new bulbs wont help and theres no way i'm buying new lights as i just bought these and i'm broke. so i guess its sand and then SOL, yay!
