I want to reduce my 05's weight as much as possible. Things ive added so far:
1.Tubular k-member and cross members
2. Carbon fiber driveshaft
3. Aluminum block
4. carbon fiber hood
5. Back seat delete

thats reduced my cars weight by 271lbs

Any other ways i can reduce more weight?

didn't your 05 come with an aluminum block? my 07 did. as for other parts looks like you've done quite well. can't think of anything else off the top of my head though. maybe lighter weight racing seats and some light weight wheels. the wheels will cost quite a bit though if you are strickly looking for the weight. weld racing wheels are a good choice, but i wouldn't use them for daily driving as they will easily bend if you hit something.

If you want to get crazy and reduce your weight you can always take the non essential parts of the car. Things like power steering, A/C, Radio, Speakers, Put in new racing seats which will save you 10 15 pounds. Take the spare tire out. From there you would need a blow torch....I have a lot of friends that are in SCCA racing and you would be surprised on how much weight you can take of a car. Its the little things on cars. Every little bit counts.

Those things alone I know will take atleast 100 pounds if not more.

Carbon fiber trunk, take the glass out (windows) and replace with "plexiglass," shorten your exhaust to come out right behind the front tires, door panels, interior panels, remove all seats except driver's which you'll replace with a light weight racing seat...hell, you could go as far as removing your dash if you're just going to race it. Oh, and you could go on a diet, too....

There are a few things that have not been mentioned that does not hurt the driveability of the car.
1.Delete the cats with an O-R X pipe.also remove the heat shields where the cats were.(30lbs)
2.Remove the windshield washer container and lines.(5-6lbs)
3.BMR front sway bar/radiator support delete.(26lbs)
4.Replace battery with one of those small gel batteries.(10-15lbs if not more)
5.Remove the fender well skirts.(All 4 fender wells removed is 5-6lbs)

And there are a few other things as well. But remember boys and girls. The key is to reduce parasitic weight from the motor & reduce rotating weight. The next important place to remove weight for 1/4 mile racing is from the nose of the car so it comes up hard for weight transfer. This will conclude our studies for the day.LOL!
