Racing seats in a S-197

OK so I have my seats and brackets for my 05 GT but isn't there a trick to put these in? Something that has to do with the air bags?

I don't have the side bags in the seat but was told there is a sensor plugged into the seat that if unplugged the car wont start.. is this true or only with the cars that have the side air bags in the seats?

I guess the passanger seat has a sensor to detect if anybody is sitting in it, and how close they are to the dash. it then determines how much to inflate the airbag on the passanger side...

sorry don't know. the only thing i would try is to unplug the seats while they are in the car still and see if anything happens. if it does take it to ford and act stupid

What you might do is check with a ford tech, and see about a way to integrate the sensor into your new seat...talk directly to a tech tho, rep's will bullshit you around. If theres a cool tech in the back, hed be happy to give ya a pointer. I wanted them too, but dont have the money for one, and need to check with the dealership tech about it too, if i do it first, ill post it for you...
