GT500 Front End

Anyone know if you can put the new 2010+ GT500 front fascia on the 2010 GTs? I've been searching but haven't been able to find a kit.

I found out that it requires the hood and the front bumper. The hood is shorter and the bumper is taller and lines up with the hood. I would like to do it on mine but I ran out of money for mods!!

WoW 3300 bucks!

I've kind of been eyeballing the Cobra-Jet hood myself

So instead of doing all of that, just buy the hood and front bumper? Would that line up and work?

No i don't think so. You still need the headlights/markers and the brackets and all.

I'm hoping they come out with a cowl hood for the 2010 shelbys soon though

I did the conversion and my GT headlights, markers, etc. all worked. You need the center support, the left/right mounting brackets, and a few extra bolts.

Not the same question but: would a 2010+ front end bolt up to a 05+? I would imagine you would need the headlight bracket, bumper/isolater, headlights, fenders, and hood. Not wanting to do it per say but it crossed my mind. I love the new fronts.

Even if you could, it'd look terrible because the fenders wouldn't match up with the 05 doors.

why? looks like they share the same body line in that area. Only real change is in the smoothed out flares? could be wrong but?

Edit:
Oh, see what you mean now. That would be cool if someone made some fenders to convirt to the new front for the 05+.

I have a pic intensive walkthru of the 2010 gt to gt500 conversion, but its 2.6MB and I can't post it here. Either PM me your email and I'll send it to you, or check out some of the other mustang forums, you may find it. Same user name I have here.

Thanks.
