Question

Thinking of some mods

Im in the market for a 07-09 gt and looking into getting a good exhaust system for it, as well a good suspension kit.

Well im going to get the pypes mid muffler cat back system then looking at LT and catted x in the future.
what do you all think of the kooks w/ catted x pipe?
Is the kooks kit worth its price? I see around 1300 bucks for it.

Also suspension wise whats a good kit to get?
Thought about the ford and steeda kits.
I just want better handling in the twisties.

Catback does not net you any gains above stock, stick with a mid muffler or axleback

Check out the exhaust thread at the top of the 2005+ forum to hear similar setups.

Check out BMR Fabrication Inc.

For suspension, Griggs Racing, Maximum Motorsports, and Steeda are all good companies if you're looking for something good in the twistes. Most other companies that make suspension for Mustangs are drag race oriented, and as such, their parts aren't really ideal for handling.

I have the Kooks with Catted X and it is excellent. I get compliments very often. It's worth every penny. And their warranty is the best in the market as well as fitment. Like a lot of us say here: Kooks or....

exhaust wise, i have MAC LTs, O/R prochamber, and GTA mufflers. at idle, the GTA mufflers sound almost stock, but at part or WOT, its totally F*CKING insane. its a pretty good sleeper setup.

if you really want to focus on the twisties you will be better off with a coil over setup.

I thought about that plus Im still looking around for a 07-09.
Im not looking into hardcore twisties just something that will hold.

After looking at the BMR site which they have a good package for lowering. Ill hold off on replacing shocks and struts but why is it the rear springs lower 1.5" and the front only 1.25? is the rear that much higher stock than the front?
