Tiress
What is a good street tire that will hook decent and is good in the rain. I bought a set of slicks so i wont be using my daily tires at the track anymore. Oh and im not trying to spend a shit load. Any ideas + prices

Oxymoron.......not you, your question. Tires that hook, suck in the rain. Tires that do well in the rain don't hook. For a good street tire your going to have to spend some cash.

I personally have the BF Goodrich G-force sport. It does well in the rain and it hooks well. They weren't expensive. I live in florida so it rains every other day.

Nitto NT555. I have no complaints in the rain. Hook pretty well to, 1.8 60 foot aint bad for a street tire.

The BFG KDW2s are supposed to be awesome in the rain. They are a little pricier than the Nittos, but are worth a look. I don't have any experience with them personally, but everybody always has good things to say about them.

BFG G-Force SS are a great street and light to light tire. Not so much at the track.

Ok my bad not so much the price, let me explain i have nittos 555r's but i used them at the track and street so they burnt out pretty quick plus there a little scary to use in the rain so i want a tire thats reliable in rain but say i so happen to see a car at a light and we decide to go i dont want to sit there through 3rd gear before i go anywhere

Nitto NT05's are a pretty good tire. Going to last a lot longer than NT555R's, but won't have quite the traction. Supposed to be good in the rain. Never driven a car with them in the rain though.

I still say you should look at the normal Nitto 555, not the drag radial.

another vote for the kdw2's. completely awesome in the rain. like any tire you won't get traction from a stop, but after you're moving they are awesome especially around the corners.

hahahaha stock tires. hope no one would attempt that. the kdw's also held up very well in hard rain at decent speeds (75-80)
